Probably too big to be described as a pebble, a surprisingly large amount of material had to be removed to make this piece. While I was chiseling it out, I thought about water going down a plug and the little vortexes which form in rock pools as the waves retreat. I had been used to making spikey jagged shapes with my knotwork sculptures now I was doing something entirely the opposite, hence the name.
